Representatives of JSC «South Kazakhstan Medical Academy» Attended a Seminar under the AI-Sana Programme

On April 30, 2026, Astana IT University hosted a seminar with Paul Kim, the developer of Phases II and III of the AI-Sana programme and a member of the National Council on Artificial Intelligence under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The seminar, titled «SMILE Methodology, AI Coaching, Practices for Working with Students, and Q&A», was attended by A.S. Nurpeisov, digital officer and M.T. Uksikbayev, Head of KTIC at JSC «South Kazakhstan Medical Academy».

The seminar agenda covered the SMILE methodology, approaches to AI-assisted coaching, and practices for working with students. The programme also included a question-and-answer session.

These topics are relevant to the Academy in the context of integrating artificial intelligence tools into the educational process and developing the digital competencies of academic staff and students. Alongside exploring the technological capabilities of AI, it is important to understand the pedagogical principles that guide its use in line with learning objectives.

The Academy’s representatives attended the seminar to learn about the approaches offered through the AI-Sana programme and explore their potential application in higher education.
