Participation in the Leadership Program on the Development of Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education

The South Kazakhstan Medical Academy continues to strengthen its position as a leader in the digital transformation of education by participating in a leadership program for senior executives of higher education institutions focused on the development and implementation of artificial intelligence in higher education and science. The program was conducted from 10 to 21 November 2025 at the facilities of ALT University named after M. Tynyshpayev.

The Academy was represented at the program by:
Nurpeisov Aibek Senbekovich - Digital Officer;
Seidakhmetova Aizat Ashimkhanovna - Dean of the Faculty of Medicine;
Arystanbayev Kuttybek Esengeldievich - Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy;
Ivanova Marina Borisovna - Head of the Department of Medical Biophysics and IT;
Seiyl Birzhan Seituly - Head of the Research Department.

Distinguished speakers included:
Kobenova Gulzat Isbasarovna - Vice Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
Abishev Ali Azhimovich - President of the Association of Universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
Zhakypova Fatima Nadyrovna - Head of the Academic Excellence and Global Competitiveness Project Group of the Project Management Office of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
Zharmagambetova Meruert Sovetovna - Chairman of the Board – Rector of ALT University named after M. Tynyshpaev

During the program, the speakers outlined national priorities for the digital development of higher education and emphasized the strategic role of artificial intelligence in modernizing educational processes and enhancing the competitiveness of higher education institutions.

The program included discussions on modern approaches to developing digital strategies, increasing the digital maturity of universities, and integrating artificial intelligence into educational, research, and managerial activities. The practical component focused on the development of applied solutions and use-case projects aimed at process automation, personalized learning, and improving management efficiency.
