DIGITAL MATURITY: BASIC APPROACHES AND BLOCKS

On October 29, 2025, a regular meeting was held at the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy (SKMA) as part of the AI–SANA program, focusing on the development of the Academy’s digital transformation.
The main topic of the meeting was “Digital Maturity: Basic Approaches and Blocks.”

 


The goal was to analyze the effectiveness of the ongoing digital changes within the Academy, assess their impact on the educational process, and define the next steps, taking into account feedback from the student community.

 

The meeting was attended by the Academy’s Digital Officer, Aibek Senbekovich Nurpeisov, as well as representatives of the student self-government, including:
•    Askar Merey – Student Rector,
•    Beisenbek D. – Student Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy,
•    Beken D. – Deputy Head of the Dormitory Council,
•    Zhanalieva Sh. – Chair of the Birlesu Dostyk organization,
•    Usen M. – Chair of the QazMed organization,
•    Kamardin A. – Chair of the Shabyt Creative Organization,
•    Akhmetkhan G. – Chair of the League of Volunteers.

 

Aibek Senbekovich presented the third-quarter results of the AI–SANA program and
outlined the step-by-step directions for implementing digital transformation within the Academy. He emphasized the importance of a digital ecosystem in the institution’s development strategy and highlighted the relevance and potential of using artificial intelligence in the educational process.

 


During the meeting, participants discussed the role of artificial intelligence in medicine, modern approaches to integrating AI technologies into education and medical practice, as well as strategies for developing students’ digital competencies.

 


Students took an active part in the discussion, sharing their opinions and presenting new ideas and initiatives aimed at enhancing the Academy’s digital maturity.
Such dialogue platforms and discussions help strengthen student initiative and support the Academy’s innovative development path.
